Dr. Dan B. Tran is considered an excellent cornea and refractive surgeon by his colleagues, and a caring and dedicated physician by his patients. He is a board certified ophthalmologist specialized in LASIK, IntraLASIK, PRK, Intacs, Intraocular Lens (IOL), and other vision correction surgeries. As a former electrical engineer, Dr. Tran has a great understanding of the many laser technologies used in eye surgery today. He received five years of engineering experience with IBM Corporation prior to attending medical school at USC School of Medicine. He also received graduate training in electrical and biomedical engineering from Stanford University and the University of Arizona. Dr. Tran completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the prestigious Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania. He undertook an additional year of fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the Shiley Eye Center, University of California, San Diego.
